Mad Science Labs

Small apps that do one job brilliantly.

Every app here started as an experiment to fix one everyday annoyance. These are the ones that worked. They're free, they run in your browser, and they install on your phone in about ten seconds.

Current experiments

Experiment 001 ★ Flagship

The only person you're racing is the one you were last time.

Your fastest 5K. Your heaviest deadlift. Your longest paddle. Your most pull-ups in a row. Personal Best keeps every record you care about in one place, and makes beating them feel like a big deal.

Log an effort in seconds. Your best is always on top, the chart shows how far you've come, and the moment you set a new PB, you'll know. Tracking stops being homework and starts feeling like a game you're winning.

Experiment 002

Count the shelf in minutes, not hours.

Stock counts usually mean a clipboard, a spreadsheet, and someone squinting at bad handwriting. Inventory turns it into a quick walk-through on your phone: type a number, hit Enter, move to the next item. Done.

Behind the bar, in a restaurant kitchen, in the stockroom, the pantry or the garage: if you keep stuff and need to know how much is left, this is your new favorite chore.

Put them on your phone

No app store needed. Open any of these apps in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen. It gets its own icon and opens full-screen, just like a regular app.

📱 iPhone & iPad

  1. Open the app in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add. That's it.

🤖 Android

  1. Open the app in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top corner.
  3. Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
  4. Confirm. Done.

Keep the lab running

These apps are free, and they'll stay that way: no ads, no selling your data. If one of them saves you time or gets you a new PB, a small tip helps cover hosting and fuels the next experiment.
